Stefanini Community Approach in 2020

Caring for the ones around us and helping those in need is one of the key drivers of a healthy society.

At Stefanini, we value people; we strive to create a proper work environment for our employees, a friendly and warm atmosphere at work, which is why the teams we work into often become our second families.

Besides our internal culture, we believe in getting actively involved in solving or improving some of the society’s deficiencies and we try to inspire our colleagues at Stefanini to do the same. Together with them, we managed to organize many Community events and activities across EMEA.

Our focus is on giving a hand where we identify a need, so over the years we helped children coming from poor families, sick children, people with disabilities, getting involved in environment protection activities as well.

One of our most loved Community actions, happening in Romania, Moldova and Poland, is “One Child, One Backpack”. At the beginning of school, we prepare backpacks containing school supplies for children whose families cannot afford them. We always feel a great fulfillment to see all the backpacks prepared knowing how much happiness they will bring to the children.

Nonetheless, we care about community health related issues, which is why we fully support blood donation. We encourage our colleagues to donate each time they have the opportunity; in fact, before the pandemic, we constantly organized blood donation sessions right at our offices in Romania and Poland, in order to make it easier for our colleagues to get involved.

Charity Cooking is another passion of ours and we enjoyed this event every time – our colleagues baked cookies of all kinds and they brought them at the office in the day of the event. The cookies were sold to the rest of us and all the money went to a charity action, as a donation to different NGOs.

As the global context has changed so much lately and we all had to rethink our strategy on all plans, we also had to find a way to continue offering our help and to give our colleagues the opportunity to do so as well. Even if it was not easy, we were able to “reinvent” the way we approach our Community actions – therefore we started a program of Online Tutoring Sessions for Foreign Languages in Romania.

Our Online Tutoring Program is possible due to our kind volunteers (12 Stefanini employees) who accepted the challenge: they dedicate a few hours a week to be a foreign languages teacher (English, French or German) for a group of children from Galati. As schools remained closed for a long time and the last part of the school year was a challenge for everyone, these children have now the possibility to improve their foreign languages knowledge during summer.

No matter the form that our Community actions take (event if it’s through charity marathons, gifts for children in hospitals, tree planting events or donation of books or clothes for children in need), we always make sure that kindness is one of the values that we promote among our employees.

We always try to support the causes that are important and relevant for them too and when we see that our campaigns are successful, we can only think of one simple reason: Stefanini employees care about others. 

We are stronger together and, as they say, we have to be the change that we want to see in the world. I am confident that at Stefanini we will continue doing great things together, simply because #WeCare.
